How to check SDSU financial aid? ›

Check your Award Status Using AidLink

You may already have an AidLink account if you used the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for financial aid. Log in to your AidLink account using your SDSU RedID and SDSU WebPortal password and select the appropriate academic year.

Track your student aid through your Dashboard.

When you log in to StudentAid.gov, you'll be taken to your Dashboard. Your Dashboard tracks info about your federal student aid, including how much you've borrowed and what kinds of aid you've received.

There are a number of reasons why a student's financial aid may not have been disbursed to their account. They include but are not limited to the following: The student failed to submit all requested documents. The student is not actively enrolled in at least one course (Federal Pell Grant disbursem*nts).

What is the acceptance rate for SDSU? San Diego State admissions is selective with an acceptance rate of 39%. Students that get into San Diego State have an average SAT score between 1090-1300 or an average ACT score of 22-29. The regular admissions application deadline for San Diego State is November 30.

Is FAFSA a loan or aid? ›

The FAFSA is not a loan. It is an application form. However, you can use the FAFSA to apply for financial aid and federal student loans. The FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is used to apply for several types of financial aid, including grants, student employment and federal student loans.

San Diego State has over 700 scholarship opportunities to support our students' educational goals. Funding for our scholarships has been provided by generous donors to SDSU who believe in higher education and your ability to achieve academic success.

All students are required to pay for Tuition and Fees by their due date to prevent late fees and/or cancellations. Due dates are posted on the University Bursar's website. Failure to submit payment by the designated due date will result in a $50 late fee for each payment missed.

SDSU allows degree-seeking students to take an Academic Leave of Absence for up to 4 semesters.

Students and their families are also welcome to call our office with questions Monday – Friday 9AM – 4PM MT. Hours are subject to university holidays and closures.

If you have an account username and password and your FAFSA information has been processed, you can log in at fafsa.gov to view SAR information regardless of the method (online or on a FAFSA PDF) you used to file a FAFSA form or whether you provided an email address or not.

Check your FAFSA application status

After you submit your application, check its status to make sure it has been processed. You can: Log in to your account at fafsa.gov, or. Contact the Federal Student Aid Information Center.

To see your aid, log in to your StudentAid.gov account using your account username and password (FSA ID). Learn more about possible reasons why your StudentAid.gov account is missing loan or grant info.

Your school will send you an aid offer, often electronically, that describes the types of aid being offered to you. You'll work directly with your school to accept and receive any or all of that aid.
